During a recent presentation, Mary shared that "individually we are good at ministering to others but together we are great." We are a team and God has used our individual strengths to complement each other in the work He has called us to.
Jeff is a native Northern Virginian. He has degrees in Psychology and was a business owner for more than 20 years before being called to ministry. He has been able to use his life experiences and training to minister to hurting people. Jeff & Mary's experience in equipping lay people to minister to those who are struggling is a perfect blend with the "Bridges to Healing" program. After several years as congregational care pastor at his home church, God called Jeff and Mary to serve as part of Cru Military.
Mary has a degree in Nursing and is the proud mother of two. For the last seven years, she has worked with special needs children at the pre K level. She and Jeff are the founding Stephen Leaders at their home church's Stephen Ministry and have a heart for comforting people who are in crisis. The life struggles they have experienced have given them a special perspective on marriage and family.
Currently, Jeff and Mary's ministry is primarily focused at MCB Quantico. We have been working with new lieutenants at "The Basic School" as well as the support staff-- through Bible studies, one on one mentoring and discipleship. We host a Friday night coffehouse called "Common Grounds" in the single enlisted barracks. The coffeehouse provides a safe alternative and sense of community for these men and women. This will also act as a conduit for the Alpha Course- an evangelical outreach on base that we participate in. We have several new studies upcoming in 2016 on base as well. Jeff is also involved in a bible study for enlisted personnel at the Pentagon.
